Download Prowl and Prowler

This tool extracts facts about variable usage within a bash shell script.

The latest builds are available below. It is recommended that you use the latest available version, and only if you encounter problems with this version, revert to earlier versions. While effort has been made to test this software, it may contain bugs.

The ZIP files contain C source code which may be built on any unix machine.

To build the prowl executable:

1. Uncompress the bash-4.2 source code
2. Change into the directory containing this source code
3. ./configure
4. make
5. Once you are able to compile bash correctly:
6. Overwrite the bash files with the provided prowl files
7. make bash
8. mv bash prowl
